Fireworks Night

Waikaraka Park
November 3

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Not much to report on this one, your basic fireworks night when a huge proportion of the crowd are there for the crackers and not the racing. It's been a long time since I've seen the grandstand that full and having that many people does create a great atmosphere. The weather was a shocker and I was waiting for them to pull the plug but somehow it ran and the track didn't seem too bad considering. The fields for the Saloons, Modifieds and Superstocks were a bit thin and the Supersaloons almost non-existent numbering 3, but Stockcars managed 15 and provided most of the entertaining. Waikaraka takes a break for two weeks now and hopefully a number of cars that haven't made the grid yet will be ready to race and boost the numbers on track.
